Anyone with an interest in the gaming industry should try attend a mega gaming event once in a while. 2020 is looking like it will be a bumper year for these types of events.

#1 Gaming Innovation Summit 2020

Innovation drives every industry and the same is true for gaming. The Gaming Innovation Summit will be held on from January 14 to January 15 in Manila, Philippines. The focus is on Asia, but since this is the fastest growing region for gaming, top companies from all over the world make it a point to be present. Around 350 senior representatives from governments, investors, iGaming operators, consultancies and law firms are expected to attend. The discussions will revolve around government policies, cutting-edge technologies and finance solution of gaming and betting.

#2 ICE London 2020

ICE London is one of the two biggest annual gambling industry events. ICE events are held in every continent, but ICE London is the global meet. The 2020 summit will be held from February 4 to February 6 at ExCeL. Over 35,000 professionals and over 600 leading companies are expected to participate in the exhibitions and conferences. Being held at the beginning of the year gives ICE London tremendous advantage. The online games suppliers, like Microgaming and NetEnt announce and give demonstration of their upcoming high profile games at the exhibition. Some key topics for the 2020 conference are gambling regulation, cybercrime and modernising lotteries. Incidentally, ICE is the acronym for the original and now outdated International Casinos Exhibition.

This event will be held from April 7 to April 9 at Old Billingsgate in London. You are invited to join over 30 speakers, over 50 exhibitors and over 2500 gambling industry experts. The business period is sandwiched between a pre-party and an after-party in which you can network with like-minded people in a relaxed environment. Some exciting topics have been lined up for discussion, which include blockchain and cryptocurrencies in gambling, online gaming in the United States and software development obstacles.

#4 G2E Asia 2020

Location: Macau
Month: May

G2E is today easily understood as Global Gaming Expo. Like ICE, it hosts events in all continents. Asia is a fast growing market for online gambling. Macau has overtaken Las Vegas and the Riviera as the top gambling hot spot. It is with this background that G2E Asia assumes importance. The event will be appropriately held at The Venetian in Macau from May 19 to May 21. The first day focuses on the gaming market in Asia. The most interesting session on the second day will be the creation of smart gaming resorts. Sport betting is a huge sector in online gaming. The final day has some sessions on this important topic.

#5 EGR North American Awards 2020

One of the functions of gambling industry get-togethers is to award peer recognition to the best among them. eGaming Review (EGR) is one of the most reputed journals of the online gaming industry. It hosts annual awards for different geographical regions. The North American Awards are most followed. The 2020 event will be staged on May 20 in New York. The process will be initiated in January 2020. Two of the notable winners from 2019 were Evolution Gaming for Casino Content Supplier and NetEnt for Casino Platform Supplier.

iGaming Business is another renowned industry journal and organiser of many events. IGB Live is one of them. The 2020 event will take place from July 14 to July 17 in Amsterdam. The outreach of iGaming Business ensures that the top experts speak at the conference sessions and the leading suppliers exhibit their products. One of the much awaited features is the announcement of the Game to Watch. In 2019 it went to Wild Cats Multiline from Red Tiger.

#7 iGaming NEXT 2020

Month: September

iGaming NEXT will be held from September 29 to September 30 at the Intercontinental Arena in Malta. Malta is home to one of the oldest regulatory bodies, Malta Gaming Authority, and this adds weight to the conference. The panel discussion topic that seems most interesting is “The Future of Gaming and Who’s Gonna Win”. The discussion will be led by Evolution Gaming, which has built an awesome reputation with its live casino portfolio. After the conference you can participate in a networking session over drinks.

iGaming NEXT 2020

#8 G2E 2020

Location: Las Vegas, USA
Month: October

The Las Vegas edition of G2E is the second of the must visit events in the gaming industry calendar. It is held annually at the Sands Expo. Freeze your dates from October 5 to October 8. The Education Sessions cover best practices and compliance, optimising gaming operations and sports betting. The exhibitors that have already committed to display their latest products include Aristocrat Technologies, Scientific Games and Novomatic. The event’s website is already active and you can track progress of attendees and already register.
